Pros

You are empowered to become a leader. Decisions are made fast, and everyone is well respected and trusted as long as they prove themselves. Very very close team, lots of fun team events, which helps coming into work with a smile. My personal development here was unmatched. I learned more about how to run a business than I could anywhere else. I wish my time here could be longer.

Cons

I put in really long hours, but you are not required to. There is just so much going on and everyone wears many hats. On the plus side, dinner is served every night so you get some perks for working late!

Pros

The people at Peek, across all teams, are very close knit, and incredibly supportive. 95% of Peek employees work in one large open space, which leads to a lot of cross-team collaboration, and also makes a very fun work environment. Everyone is very smart and driven. Transparent top management.

Cons

Compensation and insurance benefits less competitive than other startups. Work life balance is tough as is expected working at a startup.

Fun and intense people-powered business

Pros

Peek is great company to work for, with an open and collaborative vibe and an inclusive, familial atmosphere. Every department is assembled from extremely talented and hard-working people who are hungry for success. I don't really like to talk about corporate 'culture' but management has done an excellent job of hiring people whose values align with company goals, or long-shots (like myself) who become swept up in the momentum of so much aptitude and intensity in a diverse group of people with their sights set on a big opportunity in a burgeoning market space.

Cons

This is not a 9-6 job - work is continuous and ever-unfolding. That is not to say there aren't benchmarks and roadmaps; those are actually well-articulated. Rather, this dedicated group of people, and they work hard on principle. This isn't really a con so much as a filter, however the amount of time spent working is mitigated by a lot of group activities and hangouts, meals and a culture of honesty and sharing.
