Good for starting a career in SAAS, but bad well everything else.

Upper management is too distant from the offices and stays distant from most decisions until they decide to force their input on subjects they know little about because of their distancing... They don’t value long term employees so it becomes a “stepping stone” job for something better (as stated by founder). This makes it hard to want to stay long term. They ask more from you for the same or less pay. They don’t fight to keep hard working talent but rather think that anyone is easily replaceable and fire people for looking elsewhere instead of fighting to keep them happy. Compensation for the sales team changes frequently (4-5 times during 2019/2020). This makes it hard to be successful because your objectives are constantly changing. Their hiring is questionable. One hire will be a rockstar, the next will be completely incompetent. That makes for incompetent employees that make work life difficult. (This goes for peers and managers, ex director of sales, rockstar. Lead manager under him who was hired shortly after, completely incompetent). Upper management doesn’t know their team and thus refuses to promote from within. This is demoralizing for the team and the reason why so many of their top talent finds work elsewhere (also the reason for multiple incompetent managers being hired/fired). Several years back when executives were more involved they hired from within but that hasn’t happened in years.
