      Good products, poor culture at the local level

      Pros

      I could sell with confidence. The products were first class and installs generally excellent. My customers were generally satisfied.

      Cons

      The company is slow to react to changing market conditions. Management at the branch where I worked was ignorant of the morale problems at their company, and unwilling to actually pay attention to solutions to common problems brought forth by employees. Sales quotas and bonuses became increasingly unlikely to attain, and often were shifted mid cycle. Horrible situation for straight commission employees.

      Pros

      Pella is a great company to work for with unmatched products that are truly worth every penny.

      Cons

      Economy really effects your ability to sell at very small margins to negotiate while the increase on products are TOO high.

      Pros

      pay wasn't bad for the area. Benefits were above average.

      Cons

      When they're busy you work 50 hours or more a week. They sometimes don't tell you until Thursday at 3pm you'll be working Saturday. When they are slow you'll be lucky to get 30 hours. The only way you advance is to bleed black and yellow(their colors) I applied for a job that I was doing, didn't get it, and then was asked to train the person that did. Was told by a manager "we just don't know you well enough to get the job" He was there 2 months, I was there 5 years
