Pros

Strong name recognition and reputation for quality. Wide variety of products, including installation services. Technology is a huge priority and changing constantly to be cutting edge for this industry.

Cons

National marketing is used for regional branches, with very little adaptability to local areas. Marketing has virtually no ability to try something new. Same lame marketing gimmicks every month, just alternated back and forth. Company is constantly hiring new reps, then giving them the best leads to get and then keep them going. New reps are often children of Pella management, which of course these kids are not going to be given low quality leads to allow them to fail. Not much loyalty to long term successful reps. No commission increases or gas mileage expense ever given in the past 7 years despite constant price increases each year. Impossible to sell larger projects without taking sizable commission cuts. Horrible service department, leading to many lost, pissed off and frustrated customers.

Pros

In general it's a good place to work. If you are willing to travel or move, the promotion possibilities are available.

Cons

There are some personalities that are truly a liability but the majority of people at the company are not this way. However, management is aware and doesn't act. Instead they advise people to work it out or discuss things amongst themselves rather than nip liabilities in the bud.

Pros

The staff is fun and energetic, the atmosphere is usually light and playful. There is a lot of room to do whatever it is you choose to do with your day. They are very understanding to life circumstances and do not give you a hard time for time off or away from office.

Cons

Although management is fun, they are not proactive nor confrontational. A lot of problems get swept under the rug, which keeps this organization from moving forward. They have a high turn over rate, very little to no training.
