Zero Leadership From Senior Management

Pros

I can’t think of any pros besides maybe it pays a little more than unemployment.

Cons

The company has no leader. It’s a dictatorship where you have no ability to be heard or to contribute ideas. The pay scales are laughable and expectations are impossible. Accomplishments are never acknowledged and any failures are highlighted and magnified. The exec team has encouraged an atmosphere of gossip to a point where there is zero trust amongst the departments.

Work life balance

Pros

In the engineering team is a lot great opportunity to take on projects where you can learn different part of the organization. Most of the time the work is steady pace, however when in project launch phase there could be a high workload, it varies from project to project though. You can spend good quality time during evenings and weekends with family and friends, most year around.

Cons

Some roles in engineering require you to travel and it depends on projects. However, you can work out a plan with your manager to balance out the travel with rest of the team.
