Still a family-owned company

Pros

Still family-owned, not "corporate." Decent pay and benefits. People are respectful of each other. Good brand recognition. Overall a good company to work for.

Cons

Not a lot of room to move up. Lots of lower priced competitors.

Pros

When business is good the company seems to do well and let you do your work. Good benefits package. Great product and support of their product.

Cons

Management does not seem to listen to employees concerns. As a field technician they are not evaluating your work and recognizing the good job you provide. When construction business is bad they start to micro manage and make things worse. Start to cut hours, incentives, and bonus' but expect you to complete more work in that time for less money. In my field and location was not much of an opportunity for promotion. Wages was fairly low considering the wide scope of work you had to perform. New hires are hired in at a much higher rate than people there for 10+ years.
