Pros

Brand recognition. Lots of autonomy throughout each day to perform duties. Owner is friendly with a good attitude. They do make an effort throughout the year to provide light-hearted gatherings, ie: company sponsored lunches, bowling (in a good economy), etc. Not the worst place in the world but with many limitations.

Cons

Management top heavy, CRM, Leadership, Big-Bros is "mother" Pella. 3 years ago this local distributor had 100 employees w/7 managers. Today there are 30 employees with 6 Sales managers are ego hungry; one loves to take on every task possible related to spreadsheets & CRM but is clueless in terms of sales leadership therefore ineffective. Management has no idea the daily task involved and time req'd to complete daily tasks o/s of selling. CRM management easily becomes an overwhelming time suck of non-revenue generating tasks- all in the name of tracking by mother Pella (the corporate arm of this franchise type business model). Mother Pella has become so process oriented - one size fits all geographic areas, consequently taking their eye off the ball - customer focus. It's a sales oriented organization but the focus has become CRM, the ultimate form of job security for managers.

Pros

Great pay, decent benefits, Great people to work with.

Cons

The cons of job itself are long drives between jobs, cold in winter, hot in the summer, driving in the city, need to carry heavy tools and product onto job sites, management watches your every move and decision.

Pros

Great benefits, pleasant surroundings, challenging atmosphere, generally great co workers. Great training system and access to knowledge base. Relaxed and fun group.

Cons

Promotions are very few and hard to obtain. Management needs to listen more and act on what they hear. Poor demonstration of loyalty to employees.
