Plenty of opportunities to learn on the job and take on responsibilities.

Cons

Not many opportunities for actual career growth. There is no structure for promotions, raises, or professional development.

Flexibility for work/life emergencies (though less for day to day balance)

Cons

Consistent trend of internally promoting people to management who didn't have enough skills to perform their initial jobs or contribute to their teams. Instead of putting low performer on PIP or letting them go, they would promote to team lead. No performance evaluations or goal setting. No expectation of growth or career development. Multiple years without even an annual cost of living wage increase. More recent focus on bonus plan that was consistently not achieved.
