Pros

The agency as a whole is very supportive of staff and provides lots of opportunities to develop as professionals. The work is very rewarding as someone who wants to work with people who have a high level of need.

Cons

Community behavioral health can be a stressful setting due to high intensity of needs, full caseloads, and limited resources available to the agency. Staff turnover is higher in this field than many, although PBH has many long-term staff and seems committed to improving employee retention.

Pros

The supervisor was always there for the employees. They made sure that the schedule was always up to date. I worked night shift and never felt unsafe or confused when something went wrong.

Cons

Some times we were shirt staff causing some of us to work solo shift which could have been a problem. It was very hard to move up in the company and there was some favoritism in some of the departments.
