Pros

You can collaborate and work with your colleagues to help students with their issues if they're difficult.

Cons

academic advisors are tutors of some 180 programs (even if you know nothing of the subject), customer service, IT, mentors, and much more. This is not reflected in the paycheck. You are also not appreciated each year our Christmas bonus diminished to nothing even though the company was bought by a much bigger wealthier company.
