Pros

Plenty of overtime available when busy. Good VHI and dental Good educational supports

Cons

Pay is poor relative to similar factories. Fixed shift premiums (not percentage) and have not been raised in 20 years. Poor management. Keep changing focus and direction. Very focused on short term goals with no long term planning. Workload can be overwhelming when busy.. Very lax on safety and environment.

Cons

I work at Penn Engineering for years, and unfortunately my experience was consistently negative. Management is terrible, promotions are based on personal connections, friendships, and favoritism, not actual performance or results. Even if you work hard and deliver better outcomes, it won’t matter if you’re not part of the “in group.” The culture is toxic. Bullying and inappropriate language happen on a daily basis, and leadership either ignores it or participates in it. There is also a very noticeable undercurrent of discrimination that makes the environment even worse. If you’re considering working here, I strongly recommend reading reviews from permanent employees before making your decision. The reality inside the company is very different from what they present to candidates.
