Pros

I really have nothing good to say.. Overtime offered sometimes

Cons

High school like environment, very messy, full of rumors, guys from "the shop" act like women are BAIT! Management does not care about employees. Contractors are singled out at every event.

Pros

Good company reputation in the Twin Cities Pockets of good and great managers Strong history of growth by acquisitions Ability to flex across functional areas Was a great company at one point - Lost our way!

Cons

Lack of leadership at business units - Senior leadership not holding business functional leaders accountable Senior leadership's lack of talent development and lack of talent bench across all functions Minimal leadership change outside of business unit Presidents - need to bring "new thinking" in functional areas - many leaders in same roles for 5+ years and have not added any shareholder value to the organization Senior leaders lack of communication Constant focus on short term earnings with constant restructuring environment Leaders in place at highest levels that have no management experience and provide no development to teams - spreads a toxic workplace throughout businesses HR needs to be more engaged with the environment at all levels and hold managers accountable

Pros

Large company with lots of resources. Flexible management structure allows for self-direction in getting job accomplished. Broad product portfolio.

Cons

Management structure is almost non-existent. People are doing jobs that have nothing to do with their official titles or job descriptions. Pentair has attempted to refine the sales structure but many employees from the Tyco days have not adapted.
