Pros

Lots of the engineers are around the same age, which makes socializing more fun. Lots of events and team happy hours. Most people are very nice and willing to help each other out with things. Fast paced environment so things move quickly. They care a lot about quality control and getting new products to market. They emphasize on improving doctors' ability to save lives. The CEO of the company has great vision and very friendly.

Cons

The "old guard" seems to hold a ton of information on previous issues or defects that newer engineers simply don't have experience with, and don't have an easy way to access these kinds of data. Since a lot of issues are visual and difficult to describe in words, it's difficult to categorize. Middle management is lacking, as most of them still perform engineering tasks more than half of the time. This tends to leave subordinates in a tough spot sometimes. Management structure seems to be a rough spot for most people in the middle of their careers. There seemed to have been a large turnover in senior/management levels.
