Pros

You have a great opportunity in meeting a diverse range and type of customers. as well as a hands on approach to dealing with issues.

Cons

Senior management does not tolerate creative thinking. They want soldiers that do what they are told. Personal life is secondary to working at PMA and if you have any personal tragedies it may be the end of your career with the company. Ownership only cares about the profit and employees are just cogs in the wheels that can be interchanged at whim. Professionalism is unheard of though management think they are very professional. They suffer from group-think and have no outside experience to compare their organization with (other than the Marine Corp.)

Pros

A steady paycheck; sometimes. They will take pay away from Sales Managers, drivers, and anyone who is in sales and someone screws up paperwork; they will deduct your pay and no one cares!!

Cons

Being in sales; expect very long hours (6am to 6pm) and numerous calls after that (I have had them at 11 or 12 at night.) All other employees get paid holidays except sales; we had to work the Saturdays before, so you are not paid. Expect weekend phone calls if one of your 600 accounts is low on Mtn Dew; come on people it's soda!! Trucks are never loaded right and accounts start calling in; this is the worst paying and worst job I have ever had! You also have no family time or peace away from work; upper management can take all the time off work they want, but if you have a sick child "they think the woman should stay home." Well, if I made $200,000 a year my spouse could afford to stay home! They threaten your job on a daily basis, but they have no idea what is going on
