Sept 19 2015 review says it all

Pros

Not a lot. Get to meet some other great employees and customers. Got to learn what not to do as far as customer service went. The employer was always right and the customer had no idea what they wanted according to my managers.

Cons

The Sept 19th review basically says it all. Current manager says advancement possibilities. While they are available only seem to want to hire from outside. Current manager says ALL merchandisers are lazy and do not want to work. Why work hard when nothing is ever good enough?? Management seems to only know the stick method of management never any carrot to go with it.

Pros

Some of the co workers were great to work with.

Cons

The head staff of the Effingham Depot were careless. I had only two days of training and was expected to know how to do everything. When I tried to let my managers know of any problems I was having they didn't care. I was called a liar and they also talked about me behind my back. They would expect me to come back into the stores after my shift to restock. If I refused they would call my phone multiple times. This is just one of the worst companies I have ever worked for and I highly recommend no one works for them. The pay isn't worth the hassle.

Worst Job I Ever Had

Pros

The only pro to working here was that I met a few nice people but that in no way made up for all of the negatives that came along with it.

Cons

Low starting salary. Raises are annual and barely noticeable. Turnover rate is extremely high. Employees are constantly getting fed up and walking out or just not showing up again with no notice. On the flip side, good employees are getting fired for no good reason. The parking lot is a long way from the building and the owner could care less that his employees have to walk a long distance in the cold, sleet, snow, and rain just to get to and from their cars for the measly wages that he pays them while he is lounging in one of his mansions. They overload the desks with an unreasonable amount of work and refuse to pay overtime in order to get it done.
