Pros

Benefits, besides PTO, are rather comprehensive. Dental, Health, Life, etc are all decent. The people hired for the jobs are competent and savvy. Pay isn't terrible when on-boarding.

Cons

I have never seen management outside of program manager. The company prefers to see work done by skeleton crew to maximize contract profits as opposed to maximizing delivery. Little to no corporate assistance in periods of govt contract pushback. Forcing employees to use personal PTO for government holidays is just cheap. PTO accrual rates are below-average to begin with. 1.2% raises year on year are abysmal, even with out-of-band bonuses for above-average performance. They are a holding company, plain and simple. They do not care about their 20000 employees individually, obviously.

Pros

Some of the people are very good people to work with

Cons

- the company does not care about you in any way -there is no top cover from management, they hire you and forget about you and the client treats contractors like slaves and cannon fodder -The COO and 2 division presidents left with 3 weeks of each other -Owned by an investment firm that is starting to cut benefits and what it "costs" to maintain and keep employees...they are trimming the "fat" because they intend to sell Peraton

Pros

The independence of the role.

Cons

Compensation is shockingly low. There has been no increase in background investigator pay for the entirety of the company's existence. Middle class lifestyle is unattainable with the background investigator pay rate. See Pew Research income calculator. Work load is purposely overloaded and inappropriately timed with a sales type competitive environment that is unconducive with the importance of solid and comprehensive background investigations.
