Pros

Not many. There's worse, there's better. Good tuition assistance, though you owe 12 months back.

Cons

Poor raises depending on the contract. PTO policy could offer sick leave, currently everything comes out of PTO, which accrues quite slowly at 3.08 hours/week. They do not offer any bonuses.

Pros

Flexible work hours, and the ability to control your workday.

Cons

The harder you work, the more they expect (without additional compensation of course).

Pretty incompetent, but easy work

Pros

- The work is easy and flexible. - Generally, good job security. - Deadlines are reasonable. - Not a ton of micro-management. - You can look pretty smart compared to your peers if you're alright at your job.

Cons

- Engineering standards are pretty low. - Below average pay rate if you're good at your job. - Career mobility is geared towards becoming a manager. - Don't expect innovation. - Occasionally, come across monolithic, broken code that's passed as "production". - Leadership loves toot their own horn, but you can largely ignore them. Aside from government shutdowns, or winning contracts they don't have anything valuable to share.
