If you have to deal with their HR department in any way, play the wiseguy. HR isn't there to protect you or anything; it's there to protect the company. Want to survive at Peraton? Do your work, and keep your head low, eyes and ears open. Only talk about business. Peraton has a typical soulless, back-stabbey non-negotiable corporate culture and functionality. They'll say you're doing a great job while secretly plotting to pull the rug out from under you, and you have no say in the matter.
