Cons

I strongly advise anyone considering employment with Peraton to think twice. My experience with the company was deeply frustrating and, often times, disheartening. One of the most troubling aspects was the way layoffs were handled. Employees were let go on multiple occasions without warning and with little to no communication or transparency. Peraton believes in just ripping the bandaid off without care or remorse for their employees and that created a culture of instability and made it difficult to feel secure or valued in your role. Compensation practices were also inconsistent and, in many cases, unfair. Pay did not always align with workload, responsibilities, or industry standards, and there seemed to be little effort to correct or even acknowledge these disparities and questions regarding the topic were treated with hostility. Perhaps most concerning was the lack of respect and professionalism from senior leadership. Support was minimal, communication was often unclear or dismissive, and there was a noticeable absence of loyalty to employees. Decisions that impacted people’s livelihoods were made without empathy or accountability. Overall, the culture felt transactional rather than supportive. If you are looking for an organization that values its people, invests in their growth, and demonstrates integrity from the top down, you may want to explore other options.
