It a job and it pays you money.

Cons

The company has no loyalty to its rank and file employees. They allow clicks and good old boys clubs to run the show. Site managers hand responsibilities to to the sub to run then blame them for any short comings. All in all, the worst place I have ever worked and, I used to get shot at in a combat zone on the daily, I truly felt safer there than with this company. Zero Veteran or persons over 40 support or work place security. Pressuring the above to quit or out right firing over first time offenses with no corrective actions taken.

Easier job, low pay, bad practices

Relatively good work-life balance, remote work, not that challenging of a job for an individual contributor level

Cons

Pay is FAR below market rate, company practices both business and coding wise are out of date, tech stack is an abomination from the 90s, management frequently overpromises and allows endless scope creep, management refuses to modernize in any way because in their eyes the only thing worth devoting time to is more features which has caused over a decade worth of tech debt that now hinders our abilities to compete with competitors, expect a work environment with zero documentation, product owners who don't know the product and acceptance criteria that doesn't exist or changes from a day to day basis.

Some people you work with are amazing. Work life balance is so so.

Cons

Almost everything is an emergency, good ole carrot and stick for advancement, upper management is a big issue. No clear defined guidelines and technologies. Anything free is what can be used. Management does not know internal processes and will resist any input for improvement and make it your issue.
