Pros

Pay rate decent for local cost-of-living

Cons

Understaffed, endless overtime, management either doesn't want to hire people or having lots of trouble finding candidates. Management has some issue with the union members or union itself and punishing everyone for it. Lots of pay issues since Peraton took over including timecard entry issues that could have easily been sussed out during the transition process. Very little room to move up from lower positions.

Pros

Great long term work availability, great staff/co-workers, great benefits, and social club activities

Cons

HR, and IT support from the US is dismal. As Canadian employees the US side of the house has no clue how Canada works and where we are.

Pros

Living conditions when not underway, some exceptional co-workers

Cons

Recruitment team will paint a very lucrative picture but once on-site will start taking perks away (or threaten to anytime questioned). This program is the most mismanaged and toxic work environment ever witnessed. Employees, to include site lead, are not allowed to read nor see the contract that governs the supposed services provided. No clear goals, priorities, or objectives are defined. Management constantly use work hours and pay as a means of coercion. The only management "styles" used are fear and intimidation. No one in the company can explain the compensation plan making it impossible to check if you're being payed correctly. Local management/supervisory team not well defined, longevity gives individuals the right to make up policy on the spot and berate other employees. There is little to no administrative support from CONUS management team. Training syllabus is not clearly defined, nor are qualification standards. Contract financial burdens are pushed onto the forward deployed employees.
