Pros

Flexible working hours. friendly and helpful peer engineers. Good customer relationship. Average benefits.

Cons

The company has gone through several buy out and name change. Systems Engineering Department has gone through a management change. The young and inexperienced managers have lack people skills and technical expertise to to run the department. They are using intimidation tactic to get the job done. The individual creativity is not encouraged. Management stuck in policy and regulations and loosing edge to have on technical expertise. if you are looking for technical advances, this is not a place for you.

Was better as Harris

Pros

Some of the policies that are still in place from Harris

Cons

The Harris policies are quickly disappearing as new policies slash jobs, salaries, and benefits to try to increase profits. "Unlimited PTO" policy where you won't get anything over 3 weeks approved anyway, and no payout for time not used.

Employees are valued

Pros

Since splitting from Harris Corporation and infusing new leadership, employees are more valued. Leadership asks employees for input several times a week when implementing new business systems. This way everyone has input into the look feel and functionality of all the new systems being out in place. The CEO is engaging and likes to communicate with the employees. Great benefits like unlimited vacation, 9/80 and flex schedules, telecommuting, 401(k), HSA options, CIGNA medical insurance, etc. (my medical insurance costs are half the price of my last company with all of the same benefits).

Cons

There is plenty of work to do which could require long hours from time to time as we transition into a new company, but the leadership does a good job of not giving employees more work than they can handle.
