      The hard working staff. There are a lot of employees here who genuinely care.

      Cons

      Senior and middle management are oblivious to the truth. They are walking and working with horse blinders on. When will they (Senior management) really do what they said they do? Listen to those who have help keep the Titanic afloat. Reality is all in, yet they refuse the basic understanding that with your real employees (not Contractors) you are going to fail and followed by AP lacks the leadership needed to get better. When will they see it? Company is too top heavy to truly care.

      The people, not management, were great.

      Cons

      I worked for the internal IT department. They touted a very good transition off of Harris' services to our own, but that success didn't translate to all of the employees in IT. Meager merit increases? Placement of buddies? Favoritism? Layoffs?!? Is that the way to treat employees after a very successful transition that "was never attempted before". No. I saw the writing on the wall. IT management is full of cronies, opportunistic and Machiavellian people that are in it for them and their pals. I guess that if you're not in their circle, your forced or kicked out. Peraton may have separated from Harris and the other thousand entities that it had picked up over time, but it's still an old school place. Don't fall for the "100-year old" start-up schpiel.

      If I could give this place a negative rating I would. Training is an absolute joke and does not prepare you for live cases. Asking for support or extra in the field training from management is a lost cause that ends with you having to defend yourself. They force a debt on you to make you stay a year out of fear. Numbers oriented and not case quality oriented. Do yourself a favor and do not even look at jobs for this place. I overlooked some of the reviews here and I entirely regret ever accepting this job. If you're reading this please do not sign up to be any part of what they have going on. It's a great job if you hate yourself could not be a more accurate statement to describe working for this place.
