Pros

- Prague management are nice people - Friendly office atmosphere - No nasty politics or fake toxic culture you will find in other companies. People who were hard to deal with left Blazemeter already. - May be an interesting choice for junior engineers, but has very little to offer to senior engineers. - Jim Cassens, the new CEO seems to be a nice guy. In no other company you will find CEO commenting on Glassdoor.

Cons

- Most key knowledgeable engineers have left Blazemeter in both Israel and Prague. This loss was irreplaceable. You will often get the answer "nobody knows anymore" in this project. This explains the negativity expressed in the review "A Company I Want to Forget". - Prague managers have tried to leave too, interviewed at other companies but failed to pass, that's why they are still there. - If they have a job opening, it's most likely for someone who left. - Seniority levels seem randomly assigned in both Prague and Israel. A number of people are above their skill and others below. - Blazemeter product is too convoluted, a mixture of various technologies, very slow to innovate. The core is in PHP. Do not expect a big contribution or a revolution. If you are looking for easy money it may be ok. - Prague office is very small, perhaps 18 people including management and product. - No long term prospects - Honestly it makes no sense for Perforce to maintain Prague office in its current size.

Thanks for posting here on Glassdoor. We definitely are working hard to create a culture of open communication, friendly work environment, and interesting technology that is making a difference in software development. As you mention, our footprint in Prague is small but it's mighty. I had the good fortune of visiting that office this summer. Terrific people, great leaders who are passionate about the solutions they are supporting. As for BlazeMeter, we have big plans for this solution. Integrations are planned to other solutions that will drive significant value and additional benefits for our customers. We also have additional roadmap items that expand the use of AI within BlazeMeter. The office space in Prague is awesome. Great location, comfortable setting and leadership has made it very comfortable for employees to enjoy their surroundings with a breakroom that doubles as a fun space with games, couches, and all kinds of fun things. I can appreciate BlazeMeter has some technical debt but we are slowing updating the code and will continue to do so over time. I would enjoy an opportunity to speak to you one on one to understand from your point of view where we can improve. Thanks again for the post. ~Jim Cassens, CEO

Pros

Overall company culture was great at the HQ

Cons

On my team, they only ever cared about your pipeline and nothing else. I would be surprised if they even knew my last name honestly. When confronted with how dysfunctional the dynamic was, it was easier for them to twist words and make it look like I was at fault. Layoffs are never ending and no one truly feels safe. Say goodbye to having a personal life. On top of everything, also the most disrespectful compensation plan that I have ever laid my eyes on in my career.

I'm sorry to hear your short time with Perforce didn't achieve your professional goals. We just completed our annual employee engagement survey with tremendous scores. Work & Life balance received a score of 87 as we provide a balanced and flexible work environment. Management transparency, employee alignment, innovation and teamwork all scored over 80. Coming into Perforce as CEO almost two years ago, we put a tremendous amount of effort on transparency in communication, employee alignment to goals, product innovation, sales excitement & rewards, and development of our employees. I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to realize those changes while you were here. I would like to learn more about your experience in order to improve the future of our organization. If you are up for a conversation, please reach out to me on email, LinkedIn or call my mobile phone. ~Jim Cassens, CEO

Pros

Culture is fantastic, everyone works together to get the work done. Group lunches and company lunches are frequent and you'll like everybody here.

Cons

Can be difficult to get promoted in certain areas due to the company being great to work for and nobody really leaving.

I agree, the culture at Perforce is second to none and employees stay with us for a long time because of the environment created. That culture is created by our employees as they truly make Perforce a special place to work. We were able to promote over 150 employees last year and will continue to look for advancement opportunities across the organization. We've developed a 1 on 1 meeting cadence where employees can share their career aspirations and work with their managers to ensure progress towards those goals. I personally mentor over 25 of our employees as they look to grow professionally. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to talk about your career goals. ~Jim Cassens, CEO
