Pros

Excellent growth opportunities if you mix with the right group of people, none of which unfortunately fall within the group of Singapore management team.

Cons

Beware if anyone is looking to join this company. If you do not fall within your immediate superior's good graces, then be ready to quit and find another job. The SG management team is basically an old boy's club looking to keep their positions while downplaying the employee's role in building the business. Especially bad are the managers who would not survive in companies that are run half-decently. You will find people who are in the role for a long time acting like they are a few days into the job. Blame pushing is the default mode of working. Collaboration? None.

Pros

If you're in a good team, you'll have an enjoyable work day. Nice work site. Colleagues are generally nice - there are some who don't even have manners to say good morning and lack any sort of ambition (hence why they remain at perkinelmer)

Cons

Below market salaries being paid by a billion dollar company, hence why they attract lower quality staff who have little to no ambition. Management talk too much and are pretty useless when it comes to delivering solutions and valuing their employees. No bonuses - they are a big enough company to pay each employee a yearly bonus based on company performance but they behave like a start up with cash flow issues. Management don't know how to retain talented staff and purposely hire 'agreeable staff' who just turn up for a 9-5 and collect a paycheck- they see talented staff as a threat. They like to hire lots of graduates too because they're cheaper, not because they care about their career development. Bunch of liars and a bunch of cheapskates who think a yearly pizza party where everyone is shoved into a little room is 'recognition for all your hard work'

Pros

Decent time off & nice facility

Cons

Poor Management. Good managers were laid off and replaced with people who should not be in management.
