Pros

Decent compensation, benefits and career opportunities.

Cons

PE was a great company to work for 15 years ago. But over the last 10 years management has gone downhill. Pay is now heavily weighted towards performance metrics that have the effect of very short term thinking. It depends on where you are, there are still a few good managers left. But in my case, and I think is more common, my manager used bullying tactics and shaming and made it a toxic and unbearable work environment which is why I finally had to leave. There are a lot of employees close to retirement who will put up with that kind of treatment. But PE is going to have a hard time getting younger workers unless they make big changes starting at the top.

Pros

Great colleagues with long time experience. Good to very good compensation and reasonable benefits for the industry.

Cons

Current senior management has some ambitious plans, but there aren't enough people below them to execute effectively. Employees are pulled in too many directions trying to satisfy the whims of management that change too often. Recently, senior management has been brought in from the outside, so there is a large disconnect with their teams.

Pros

Good benefits, have their foot in many different areas

Cons

Poor management, too many managers to where no one takes responsibility. Very shady in not letting employees know what is going on with contracts and string employees along to benefit themselves at the employee's expense
