Pros

I had been working at a small company that was acquired by PE and integrated into one of their existing research facilities. The labs were nice, we had flexible work hours, decent benefits. They sponsored optional volunteer days where we spent a paid work day volunteering in the community.

Cons

They gave us fewer vacation days than we previously had before being bought out and it was a longer schedule to accrue more time.

Thank your for your feedback and I am glad your experience coming from an acquisition was good. We have received other feedback about our vacation policy and I am happy to include this in our leadership discussions.

We appreciate your feedback and glad you have a great team atmosphere! We do take work life balance very seriously here at PKI. We encourage you to speak with your manager to ensure you are taking your holiday and PTO time.

Pros

The pay is kind of good.

Cons

Basically, this company has no idea what it is doing. There is a complete and utter lack of communication. Leaders are so far disconnected from their workers and managers are incompetent. There is no clear vision. They are not doing well financially. People are constantly laid off and the majority of people are working in fear that they will be the next layoff victim. Somebody new quits everyday. For a company that has been around for 75 years one would think there would be some kind of process in place, but in fact, it is the opposite. PKI is going down the tubes and I don't recommend going along for the ride.
