      Pros

      PerkinElmer got to keep the name. But the technology went with Sciex. The technology is super old and cannot compete. Sorry, putting old technology in a new box doesn't cut it.

      Cons

      PE keeps playing games to boost its numbers like selling its site in Turku and renting it back to show a "profit".

      Pros

      The rank and file workers are great, I made a lot of friends and connections there. The work is interesting, and I was able to do some fun projects with my peers.

      Cons

      No matter how well you do or potential you show there is no way you will get a decent raise or salary track. If you start off at a lower salary you will remain there. Business decisions are all political or financial. They attempt to standardize all business platforms for the companies they acquire regardless of whether it will work for the particular unit.

      Major decline since company split

      Pros

      Managers/employees that have been around prior to the split are helpful, supportive, and kind.

      Cons

      Everything since the split has been a negative experience, lowering of benefits, very little to no investments in people/processes/tools. Declining customer satisfaction.
