Pros

Some of the best training available. You will gain a full understanding of reasons why and how everything works. The system works, but so does every other company system since they have copied it.

Cons

Understand what is truly possible and not what you want to happen just to pad the EGO of the Owner. You were #1 and now you're not so let's make unrealistic sales goals that haven't been meant in the last 4 years. When they are not met, the problem can't be you, so you fire, demote or have Sales Managers quit (or not take the job). There has been at least 4 of these situations happen in the last 2 years. In the last 2 years there has been 4 Sales Directors - 2 CFO or head on Accounting - and a Director of Operations have all left the "TRIBE". Sounds like something is wrong. With the exception one person the Core Leadership has one common thread - They are all names Spencer. The exception is the childhood friend of the son.

Thank you for your positive comment on the quality of our training. We continue to work hard at being Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana’s preferred solution for dry basements and crawl spaces, stable foundations and healthy homes. We’re so fortunate to belong to several strong partner networks that allow us to tap into resources from other successful companies like ours across North America. At this point, we have learned that materials, systems and processes can be copied, but what makes our company successful is our people and the training that we provide. At Perma-Seal we believe more is possible, which translates into a better Tribal Member, client and partner experience. In fact one of our core values is “We Strive to Be Better”. We do not apologize for challenging ourselves with aggressive sales goals, because that is how we grow as individuals and as a company. That refusal to settle for anything less than superior is at the foundation upon which Perma-Seal was built by Roy Spencer, back in 1979, when the industry was rife with unsavory business practices and companies. We are proud to be a family owned business and encourage our Tribal Members’ families to join us as well! The fact is that there are three family members of six total that comprise our senior leadership team and right or wrong, they are all held to a much higher standard than others. What’s important though isn’t the last name but rather that they are talented, dedicated and passionate men and women who want to improve the lives of our Tribal Members and our customers. We strive to be approachable, available and solicitous of feedback as that will indeed make us better. We ask regularly, in many different ways, for help with our efforts to build a stronger culture; to be part of the solution. We encourage you to express your concerns in a constructive way and allow us the opportunity to show you how much we truly care. That being said, Perma-Seal is not for everybody. We work hard and act with urgency for each other and for our clients. We imagine a world where nearly everyone wakes up each day inspired to go to work and returns home at the end of the day fulfilled by the work they do – feeling that they have contributed to something greater than themselves. This is what we envision for our Perma-Seal Tribe and we know that it is a journey. One to which we are whole-heartedly committed

Pros

This is a Tribe, not just a company. I have never worked anywhere before Perma-Seal where ownership cared so much about improving everyone that works there. Everyone pulls their own weight and genuinely cares about each other. Superior products and services. Great benefits.

Cons

Don't come here if you don't want to work for the betterment of all. Everyone works hard. If you follow the program, you will find success.

Pros

Co workers are great and the company promotes from within. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and they plan for the long-term which means job security.

Cons

If you are adverse to hard work or change, this isn't the place for you. Aside from that, it is no different from any other workplace in terms of cons.

Thank you for your positive comments about our company! We make no apologies for our culture of hard work and accountability because those are two of the qualities that have made us successful in caring for our tribal members and our clients, for over 38 years. Our core values are: We work hard…Seriously! We do what we say we will do. We act with urgency. We strive to be better. We are compassionate. We believe that these values are the key to our mission of building a sustainable company and we look forward to welcoming others that believe that too!
