Good Company, Not so Good Integration Strategy

Pros

Benefits are competitive, and the pay is good for the area. The company is always driving improvements and gives employees latitude in their day to day work to be involved in the improvement projects. Perrigo as a global company demonstrates the value of employees by offering opportunities for outside training and tuition reimbursement. An internal nomination and award program exists for employees to reward each other for going above and beyond their normal work requirements. Employees are often awarded via this program. Employees also benefit through a company-wide bonus program.

Cons

The company does not do well in meshing acquired facilities with the global Perrigo culture. It has taken Perrigo several years to integrate my current facility into the global structure of the company, and although employees at the facility share the same benefits as all other Perrigo employees, there is a significant amount of driving done by the "old regime". The amount of resistance to some changes is not, in my opinion, in line with Perrigo's overall vision of continuous improvement and resulting "Quality Affordable Healthcare Products".
