Pros

I had a job. That about sums it up.

Cons

Many people say that Perry is structured like the military; however that does the military a huge disservice. The Military is loyal to its people. Perry is not. The only thing that matters is the bottom line. You will have to be profitable at all costs and by profitable I mean insane margins. Naturally, that promotes an unsavory and unethical environment. PM’s always push blame on their subordinates. You never know when, or if, you’ve been thrown under the bus until it’s too late. Good like trying to defend yourself it’s not going to happen. The best part is that you have to have a full size truck no older than five years and it’s mandatory that you work 5 ½ days a week. That’s the minimum hours you’re going to put in. That’s best case scenario. Trust me, no money is worth the stress of this job. I could write a book about the bad things about Perry Homes.

Pros

Homes were beautifully designed and you can build thick skin after working here.

Cons

Management often mistreated employees and often played the blame game. No loyalty to their employees, regardless of how long they have been with the company. No one communicates except when its negative. If you make it past the interviews and are offered a position, be cautious of how you handle yourself and always keep track of everything should you need to ever prove your innocence. Don't become involved with the drama that this company is notorious for. Beware of the dress code policy as it is required to wear pantyhose for women still!

Pros

The pay is adequate and I liked the attention to detail which made for a good product. I also liked the look and feel of the homes.

Cons

Horrible Management. Not once did I ever hear from the Senior Project Manager any type of appreciation. No "good job" or "I appreciate the work you've been doing". Every conversation was negative (every conversation) no exaggeration! Perry Homes will fire you with absolutely no warning (even if you put in 110%, 60 hrs a week, never miss a day of work, and show up on time every day). That speaks volumes!
