      Pros

      Good work-life balance either way, but the management team will make all the difference between a fun job or an awful job. Good leaders within the store will keep expectations clear, set realistic goals, and reward hard work.

      Cons

      Retail can be very draining due to the nature of the job, and you'll be expected to please all the pet parents, even the ones who care less about their animals than you do. Pay is not competitive compared to other retail positions.
