      It's pretty good

      Pros

      You become a family with the people that work there. There are a ton of cute puppies to play with. You get a decent discount and other benefits. You get decent entry level pay. You learn a lot about animal care and about retail in general.

      Cons

      Dog overload. Management can not show up, come in late, and leave early for literally months without the corporate office taking any action. Some days you are stuck in a room playing with dogs for hours, which may seem like fun at first, but gets extremely boring quickly. You can try your hardest and still get peanuts for raises.

      Pros

      Great customer loyalty, discounted items always helpful, support among most store level employees, flexibility on scheduling if you're a good worker, room for movement in different departments. I worked in front end, stock and pet care and most people were very willing to help you learn.

      Cons

      Low pay, insufficient employee reviews, turnover of management a lil too fast, having to work beyond schedule limitations sometimes (ex. you let them know you can't work past three and you're scheduled to four). I worked 39 hours a week so I couldn't be considered full-time and get good benefits. A person who worked for a month received a promotion over me (was there for year and half) cause of favorites with one manager. Very unfortunate. She made many mistakes in her new position.

      started ok like to see the dogs and cats

      Cons

      dms have favorites and you are teated accordingly policies not enforced equally, some people get away with things that some are fired for politics suck......culture? non existent colleagues back bite and throw you under the bus, then back up and run over you again, then open the door to make sure your dead if not they run over you again! No teamwork at district level. DM friendly with some (very) and rubs that in the non favorites noses, then with some she is ms. P&P.
