      Pros

      This was my first job after moving away from home-and I loved it. It remains to be one of the favorites of any place I've worked. The environment was professional and everyone seemed to really care about the animals. The hours were good and the pay was fair. Training is provided in several areas in within the store if you wish to become an animal specialist-I became the Certified Reptile Specialist within 6 months of working there. I had a lot of fun. I definitely recommend Petco as a great place to work if you love animals.

      Cons

      As with most if not all jobs-there are downsides. Wether it be problems among co-workers or problems with corporate. I got along with all of my co-workers so that was not a problem for me.

      Pros

      PETCO was a really nice place to work. It gave a very good training program to learn about the types of animals available in the store, through online courses. Supervisors were very supportive, and very helpful.

      Cons

      The training process online was very extensive. It consisted of about 3 days worth of classes necessary to continue working for the company.

      Pros

      It's a good place if you really love animals. Also if you have lots of tattoos, piercings, it's not held against you. Petsmart won't even hire someone with piercings.

      Cons

      Lousy money, no communication between corporate and store.Never enough staff.
