Pros

- Senior Leadership Team is aligned on objectives and growth strategy - Solid North Star - Diverse population naturally, didn't have to "create" diverse workplace - Remote capabilities: 100%; excellent IT support and infrastructure - Casual, supportive, embracing corporate culture

Cons

- Development teams are all based in New Zealand, so there can be some information delays - Travel is self-funded (flights are paid via corporate account, however) - Small company, so in-field career advancement can be troublesome/non-existent

Pros

Very hands-off, lots of freedom to explore new things and little micro-management. The employees and managers are all very genuine people and you will look forward to working with them every day. Very accommodating policies on sick/family leave, and work-from home. Standard benefits.

Cons

The engineering team is split between Rochester and New Zealand, and sometimes there is a lack of planning and technical direction between the two groups. There is an inconsistency sometimes with the stated company strategy for long-term product roadmap with the reality of short-term heavy development pushes to land a deal.

Pros

Talented people, challenging and rewarding work.

Cons

Some development team is in New Zealand so needed to be flexible to late hours and some Sunday afternoons. This really doesn't apply outside of Product Management though.
