Pros

Learned a lot being part of this organization. Great employees too. We were like family.

Cons

Acquisition of Fortune wasnt a good idea at all. Organization chart is a mess with so many managers. Getting managers that are expat, slim chance for locals to occupy the post.

Pros

Strong culture, aggressive (in a positive sense) and fast-paced, rewards hard work and contributions with opportunities Strong and well developed processes - internally we feel over-engineered, externally we are often seen as state of the art Great talent management process

Cons

Integration of new entrants is a challenge, but if you can hit the ground running the reward is worth it Culture still somewhat hierarchical but beginning to change Not very forgiving with mediocrity

Pros

Work life balance, Car & gas provided for small fee, Benefits & bonus.

Cons

Pay is much smaller than Altria or British American Tobacco. Better to go there! Bonuses are $10-$15,000 less too. Even though we have the number 1 nicotine product in the country, it seems the company keeps cutting costs. Most of us received 2.5% raises & $5G bonus, a real spit in the face. Employees are ticked off!! Altria & BAT get $15-20,000. We didn’t hit our bonus max this yr do to no fault of our own. Management couldn’t forecast what was needed & we had shortages. Retailers hate us due to untimely payments & Zyn shortages. PMI says they value their employees but don’t want to give us our piece of the pie. They’re basically destroying the culture. Two yrs of corporate restructuring & horrible communication. They managed to hire so many managers & upper management that have zero knowledge on the tobacco industry thus a lot of chaos. Promotion within is getting a little better. They basically gave us iPad tablets, took away our laptops & said figure it out. Threw us on Sales Force & it’s been horrible. Never works smoothly & they can’t seem to settle on 1 thing. Constant changes. No real goals for two yrs or they keep moving the goal posts. Blitz’s upon Blitz’s hitting 12-14 stores a day when the norm is 8 in other companies. They’re squeezing us & basically making it miserable to get rid of the bad apples I believe. Using technology to watch your every move & micromanaging us into a cookie cutter approach. Swedish Match was an incredible place to work for & PMI has destroyed it. National Sales Meetings gone!! Work harder & receive less pay, bonuses & incentives. Now they not only want you to do your job but cover vacant territories & do the training for new employees for the RTMs. TSMs don’t get paid extra so new employees don’t get trained well.
