Pros

You will find a lot of great talent to work with here. People who have been long with the company and are really passionate about building and creating change. This is one of the few companies that really walks the walk when it comes to health and wellness. People stick here for long due to the flexibility the job provides. The work from home policy is highly appreciated amongst staff, specially the ones who are single parents and or have had health events. The work is interesting and due to the size of the company one may find a lot of avenues to move between different locations and groups. You work with a very diverse group of talent and learn about a lot of different cultures.

Cons

The management needs to change. A lot of favoritism when the time for performance evaluation happens:The management has the tendency to discriminate against women of color, and new/expecting moms. They are regularly passed over and or are asked to take pay cuts. Toxic Management culture: individuals/ managers who at the face are sweet and understanding but in reality are only working to make sure the right opportunities are kept from deserving employees and given to the more favored ones. Just because someone has moved between locations does not automatically become entitled to a raise or a promotion. In the recent past we've see a trend in people getting out of turn raises and promotions when this happens, deserving or not. Annual performance review process is a joke: This process is dysfunctional. If you set goals beginning of the year and tell the employee weeks before the review that they are not important to assess performance, its you who is failing. Management advances people on whims and favoritism and not merit. Women in general are discriminated against, and you can forget about it if you are someone of color. People in higher positions steal credit and merit from employees in the lower rungs: You are either not given the right projects to work on, or visibility on those projects or exposure to show your work or just not invited to meeting altogether. A lot of senior management does not even know what some of the people do in the office.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to tell us about the 8+ years you’ve worked as Senior Consultant for Philips in Andover. We’re constantly striving for improvement, when it comes to both our role as manufactured and employer, and we highly appreciate it that you’ve decided to share your honest feedback and advice here. We’re glad to hear that you were surrounded by talented, passionate people and that your position offered you the desired level of flexibility, but we deeply regret that there are many aspects that you think need to be changed within your (former) department. Equal career opportunities for all our employees is something that we attach great importance to and it’s very unfortunate that you and others didn’t get the expected chances and recognition for your hard work. We hope we can encourage you to also share your thoughts and experience with our independent EthicsPoint, so your concerns can be investigated. You can find our EthicsPoint by following this link: https://secure.ethicspoint.eu/domain/media/en/gui/100518/index.html Again, thank you for leaving your review here on Glassdoor. We wish you all the best.

Pros

Salary, benefits... I wish I could add more.

Cons

They expect their employees to submit tickets for things like paper towels, toilet paper, or any other office needs. They did not have a regular janitor service. This was very difficult as a pregnant employee that needed that.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to write a review. We were very surprised to hear about your experience and we don’t recognise the behaviour being described as part of our culture. We work diligently to ensure that we operate as an ethical company and are committed to treating our employees with dignity and respect. We take any ethical complaints very seriously and there is a formal process in place to address any issues. I would therefore invite you to visit https://secure.ethicspoint.eu/domain/media/en/gui/100518/index.html and raise a formal complaint for investigation. We will also share this information with the team in Nashville for review, in case there is no record of your complaint previously. Thanks again, and we wish you all the best with your career!

Hi there, thanks for sharing some of your insights with us. We regret hearing that you feel like the moral of the company is decreasing. This is certainly not the way we want our employees to feel. We do recommend discussing this further with your HR manager. He or she can look into this further with you. Hopefully, that will lead to some improvements. We wish you all the best with your career.
