With a base pay of $106,000 I have never made less than $125,000 with my highest year being $175,000.

Cons

Do the math... That's nearly 75% more than I should have made. That money is not free. The structure behind this overtime is built on mandatory call following your night net. Everyone in this industry understands expected overtime. As a job seeker you see green and get excited. I lost track of how many times I was out with my family and had to stop what I was doing to go to work, or had stayed up all day in order to flip my sleep schedule over only to be called out to work nights because someone called in sick at 2 pm.

Pros

Pay is good. Bonus program is significant. Engineering staff were fabulous coworkers. Workload was substantial and rewarding.

Cons

Career advancement left a little bit to be desired. Claim people focus but individual needs are far far subordinate to the company’s There's a definite line between individual contributors and even the middlest level of management.
