THEY. ARE. ALWAYS. HIRING. Usually out of desperation. Most of the ICU and PCU staff have been travelers during the rush part of the year. I SEE NO SIGNS OF CHANGE. Even charge nurses are most likely travelers.
Often one gets hired as a manager right out the door. "Welcome! Would you like to be in charge; of, well......everything?" Minimal qualifications, just a, "I have a feeling about this one method." Your best bet to advance? Stay longer. Its kind of a last man standing thing.
Those who do know how to do their job will be driven crazy. They will leave out of desperate frustration. They will be made miserable and driven away.
They will entice you with big money and big promises. Most of these will evaporate in your hands. They will use and discard you in an equally flippant manner.
No one really trusts each other. Worse this may be by design. Don't talk to anyone. Unless you have vetted their reliably well. Like very well. Don't complain to anyone. It will not end well. Their motto is CYA so you must CYA.
