Pros

Remote work structure and monetary support for home office costs

Cons

•The work environment often feels toxic, with a strong need for nonviolent communication training •Clear, respectful communication is lacking, impacting collaboration and trust. •There’s a significant inability to establish and prioritize key initiatives effectively. Projects are frequently initiated under the guise of “agility,” but this often stems from a lack of confidence and knowledge in decision-making rather than strategic flexibility. •Recommendations from employees for meaningful improvements were met with the formation of a “core team” of primarily leaders, absorbing initiatives that could allow individual contributors to make impactful changes as promised, creating frustration and limiting growth opportunities. •Aggressive communication from a recently appointed leader has fostered an uncomfortable atmosphere, where shaming and silencing of other claims leaders is prevalent. This behavior undermines morale and hampers open dialogue within the team. •Continuous discussions about potential reductions in force (RIFs) have left employees uncertain about the company’s stability and long-term vision, eroding confidence in the organization’s commitment to its employees

Shady tactics by new management

Business Outlook

Pros

It paid well in the very beginning near 2021, and 2022.

Cons

Management at the company faced challenges, particularly regarding bonuses and consistent year-over-year raises/compensation. Leadership occasionally employed questionable tactics, and there were instances of inappropriate remarks (such as anti-lgbtqia+, and blatant misogyny) made by former C-level executives, who subsequently stepped down without ever offering a genuine apology. The company also experienced frequent layoffs, which appeared to be a strategy to maintain profitability by replacing full-time employees with lower-paid contracted staff. Additionally, there was a notable lack of transparency from the leadership, despite their claims of being forthcoming about their actions and decisions. Moreover, management frequently placed staff in "crunch" mode, over-promising to clients, and staff while setting unrealistic deadlines. This often resulted in employees being unable to fulfill projects in a timely manner, creating a challenging and stressful work environment. These are just to name a few.
