Pros
Pioneer is the leader in the ag seed business. They have a great future. Pioneer is working to be the leader in the technology business. They have trailed Monsanto in the recent past, but are working on changing their second place status. Pioneer still has a focus on a solid base genetics package that can't be touched by others in the industry. They have also recently become a player in the licensing business (which has been a profitable venture for Monsanto in the past).
Cons
As with any any ag business, there are seasonal hours that are hard bu bearable. For the most part, I believe that management has their heads on strait, however, local management may waiver. At present, local management is not doing what they can to keep the local staff happy and appreciated. Pioneer would not be successful without the 'little guys doing the work' and management is overlooking that fact.
