Pros

- In Jul 2022, most (I think maybe every?) employee received a $500 bonus for a great quarter, regardless if they were a producer (so including HR, IT, operations, etc.) That left me with a great company impression, sharing the love in that way. - Great training to become an IT recruiter. You are drinking from the fire hose when you start in the Tech Industry; Piper Companies does a great job of spacing out work so you can take your time understanding all of the IT lingo. - open to remote employees; I started remote during Covid in 2021, moved to Raleigh, and was THEN able to move back home again in 2022 due to family issues. My Office Director was gracious during and after the "remote-work" conversation that we had. - Fair commission plan: Once you've made $3000 in weekly spread (about 3 - 5 candidates placed), you begin to get a piece of the $$$ pie. In 6 months, I went from ~$600 in weekly paychecks to $1000 weekly, due to commission. - Awesome work culture, "work hard play hard". The management is good about paying for after-work happy hours, barbecues, and bowling nights. - I was probably taken out to lunch by 2-3 of the senior management once my numbers started ticking up; I was still a small fish, but the attention made my work so much more meaningful. -Work/Life Balance; depends on the season. Winter is slow; Spring is hot!

Cons

- If you are in-office in Raleigh; most of the recruiters don't go out to lunch. Cuts into "producing time". So prepare to eat your lunch at your desk. Socializing is for after-hours. - 90% of your experience at Piper Companies is going to be based on 1) your Trainer, and 2) your Manager. AND, the roles you will be tasked to fill, will also be based on who you are assigned to support. You will have to take it in stride if you get assigned the sucky, no-fill, no-money roles that come down the pipeline occasionally.
