Pros

Pitney-Bowes, in my sole opinion, is a great place to work. Personally, I find that management is fair and laid back. Nobody is pressuring anyone. Management encourages people to talk to them, etc. 'Management' defined as the team leads and managers I've met.

Cons

Only been with PB about 16 months. Can't say I've found any down side. Though, I'd like to go full time. I'm only part time or fifty percent. My wish - that PB would utilize those who want more hours more.

Pros

It is a stable company with proven longevity in the field. There are minimal competitors and Pitney Bowes has the majority of the market share. Pitney Bowes is continually looking to expand in to other fields by acquiring new company's.

Cons

The normal drawbacks of working in a large company. It is difficult to know what is going on within all areas. There is not as much employee recognition as there is at other smaller company's.

Pros

Support from local district management in Nashville is superb. The local comraderie is unbeatable, although I hear that's not as much the case in other districts. Incentives and potential for increased income is vast, and depends entirely on personal performance. In my first full year, I've won hundreds of extra dollars in gift cards and incentive money, along with a giant flat screen television. You get to meet with a diverse group of businesses and learn details about their operations and goals. The benefits are extremely good, and it helps that the local sales team is very supportive of new reps.

Cons

The ups and downs of a sales job when you're new to the profession. The base salary is pretty low.Due to the nature of my position, it is hard to take a long vacation, and district management tends to to pressure you not to. While advancement in sales is clearly available, I dont get the feeling that it would be easy to make a move into a different area of the company from my position in U.S. Mailing Operations. This is too bad because there are so many other areas of the company that I would like to get to know better.
