Pros

The best reason to work for Pitney Bowes depends on which state/city one is working; however, tuition reimberssment is one of the best I know. Pitney Bowes reimburses 100% of your education once you meet the qualification, which is to work for six months and be in good standing. Pitney Bowes covers broad range of majors for remibursement even those that are not related to your work like public health and realstate.

Cons

It is difficult to figure out career path for employees. Unless one proactively sick assistance from outside, it is not clear the opportunities that are available for those who would like to progress. Most managment jobs that are posted within the company require at least 5 years of minimum managment experience which leaves those in the bottom out.

Pros

Until recently, working there was second only to working for the government in terms of being fire-proof (not including mfr. or IT). If you have few skills, you have a chance of being given the opportunity to learn. Each group has it's own culture. They will educate you, train you.

Cons

The culture in the division I was in (may not be a typical experience) was not very professional. Being moved up based on merit was practically non-existent. It was commonplace to grant manager and director level positions to people with no experience in the discipline. It was a highly politicized environment.
