Pros

Very laid back environment. Casual dress all the time and employees all know each other across different departments. Everyone is very nice, not much in the way of office politics. Workers often take time to go run errands during the day depending on how busy work is. Summers are especially easy as school is off. Benefits of working at a university are great when it comes to vacations such as winter break, spring break, and summer vacation.

Cons

Not much room for growth, mainly just people who have worked there the longest get the promotions and workers have been at their jobs for 10-20 years most of the time.
