Pros

It's the CULTure. Yes, that's spelled correctly.

Cons

Toxic company, toxic bosses. As long as you're a YES man they'll love you and you'll fit right in their CULTure. They overwork you and you have to track your hours as if you're an hourly worker punching a clock. You'll have a stupid "hours goal." That's code for you will have no worklife balance and management only likes you if you exceed your hours goal. Partners have chips on their shoulders and are arrogant - that's part of their CULTure. Divide your salary by the actual hours you work and you could probably do better working at Target. They also track how often you come into the office, yet others never have to come in because they dont live near an actual office. They hired these people because they're so desperate to find employees that will put up with their cult like culture. Tons of favoritism if you "know someone" there or you started as an intern/right out of school and bought into the CULTure mentality. HR gossips about everyone. They like to call it a "family" there - that's your first red flag. They say "family" because they overwork you so much you'll spend more time there than seeing your own actual family. They think providing snacks and lunches make a good "culture." Just another excuse to keep you there 50-60 hours a week. If you don't have kids, lie and say you do. Then you can use the "kid excuse" when you want to take time off. Otherwise you're expected to cover for your coworkers that have kids and never work a full day/week because they leave for their kids sports or school events while you're expected to pick up the slack. You won't just be buried during tax season - it's all year long. Kiss your personal life good bye because you won't have one working here. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for their b s recruiting tactics and phony bragging about their CULTure. Wonder how long it will take for their arrogant HR person to respond to this review, they are so desperate and predictable and in denial. They'll never admit it's a CULture there.

Pros

-Good place to get lots of experience. But thats every public accounting firm -Salary is average

Cons

-Very individualistic culture - The culture is HUGE problem, people only look out for themselves. Its very tough to feel valued. - There is almost zero work life balance. Even during the summers and slow parts of the year you are expected to be in the office until 6:30 -7pm -Health Insurance is Sub-Par, the 401K plan has a discretionary match which is laughable for the size of the company. Benefits are very below industry average. -Post Covid, they rushed everyone back into the office. Currently you can expect work 6 days a week in the office during busy season. only time you can WFH is when your grandma dies.

Good location for home office.

Long hours. Always confused. Got laid off after less than 6 months of poor training and during covid.
