Pros

The pros that Pluralsight had are all gone after the Vista acquisition. The only people leaving good reviews here were not around before the acquisition. Which is exactly why Pluralsight's stated plan surrounding talent hasn't included the word "retain" for about a year now. The stated strategy is to simply backfill faster. If you knew Pluralsight when it was good, they don't want you around. They want green recruits they can trick into believing there are pros to working here. If Pluralsight is better than your current employment, by all means, use it as a stepping stone. But there's no longer any potential to make a career out of Pluralsight. I will say that the ERGs at Pluralsight are full of genuine, caring, sincere folks. The problem is the ERGs are not a reason to work somewhere.

Cons

Health benefits got slashed yet they found the budget to start paying for Humu - a gimmicky software that pings you with messages regarding the company values. The equity program available to all employees was replaced by the "Long-Term Incentive" plan which was only provided to VP-and-higher roles. The story I have would be too long to type here in order to describe why vertical movement is now impossible. They preach that they now want to hire with expertise weighted more heavily than culture yet culture is what will allow/ban you from 'the club'. It's infuriating that during Town Halls, they'll show numbers and say "we had a record-breaking quarter/year" and then they say it's going to be hard to give in-role promotions and generous raises because it's just not in the budget. Our last surviving great benefit is the Unlimited PTO. Which they recently rebranded and called it an "enhancement" to our benefits package despite the fact that literally nothing changed but the name. I'm marking the "6 Month Business Outlook" as Positive because while these changes are bad for employees, they are great for the business. Pluralsight is going to flourish. Pluralsight is likely going to be sold off by Vista to some AAA company like Microsoft or Adobe and the C-suite will receive another helping of more money than can be spent in a lifetime, while the employees see none of it.

Hiring only BDRs for cheap labor and no one hitting target. Worst company as they don’t follow their own values. Nice product

Cons

Everyone leaving, Vista, Aaron Skonnard, Pay, Removing benefits such as healthcare.
