Pros

Compensation is still good, unlimited PTO, the engineering leadership and overall engineering environment is good.

Cons

Vista Equity is the new owner and news of Robert Smith's tax avoidance behaviors and his association with Robert Brockman does not inspire confidence . The powers-that-be now impose hiring hurdles like CCATs and personality tests. While compensation is still good it's 50% of what it once was. Attrition since the acquisition has been high.

Pros

My team and my leaders are fantastic, all committed to the company values and dedicated to building a positive workplace. I'm able to be myself at work and have honest discussions with people. I love the focus on diversity and inclusion and the fact that there are groups and discussions in place to facilitate this.

Cons

While the people I work with on a daily basis are wonderful, I am very concerned about the direction upper management is taking the company after the Vista acquisition. Many of the benefits I was sold on three months ago in the hiring process are going away (which was communicated VERY poorly to employees), the culture is changing for the worse, and I'm afraid that the people who make this company what it is are going to leave for greener pastures until Pluralsight ends up just like everywhere else—profit-driven above all else and unwilling to take care of its people.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I’m happy to hear that you’ve had such a positive experience with your team and leaders, and that you’re able to bring your full self to work. I also appreciate that you’ve felt our focus on D&B, it’s a priority for me, and the company, that we invest in this area to create an equitable future. I know there has been a lot of change recently and while it can be challenging to clearly communicate “work in progress” or complex changes during the hiring process, I’m sorry it had a negative impact on you. My “door” is always open and I’m happy to discuss your concerns and advice further. - Will

Pros

- Adequate benefits - Unlimited PTO - Amazing and intelligent coworkers

Cons

- Seems to always fail to deliver on benevolent mission statements - Management and constant reorgs caused volatility in job security - It is a common opinion many firings were due to assigning fall people for mismanaged and failed projects, all the way up to c-level - Significantly less than average pay in the area. Moving on doubled my pay. - Lack of accountability in leadership - Constant virtue signaling
