Pros

Podium gives me the opportunity to take ownership of work and make improvements across the business. The growth seen by Podium over the last several years has provided many opportunities to learn and grow my experience. My team is very cohesive and collaborative. We enjoy working together to attain a common goal.

Cons

At times, the business can be too sales focused which leads to short-term gains and long-term pains.

Pros

Podium is a really fun place to work, where coworkers have become much more than just coworkers, but lasting friendships. I still hang out with many who have moved on from the team in the past few years. The finance department especially has been such a great team environment where everyone looks out for each other and is working towards common goals. The company has really figured out what matters for success and is focused on all the right things to make sure that the company continues to grow. Podium helps local businesses succeed, and that mission is so easy to get behind. It has been very satisfying to see the positive impact that Podium has had on so many different types of local businesses who are just trying to do good in their communities.

Cons

The software industry has been through a rough patch the last couple of years, and Podium has done its best to navigate that. It has been a difficult period for people who were either individually impacted or had close team members impacted by some of those business decisions related to restructuring. Overall, I think leadership did their best and the company is positioned in a great place to succeed and ultimately be able to reward all those who have stuck through the difficult times.

Pros

I've been with the company nearly 4 years and I'm not looking to leave any time soon. My manager is very supportive and allows me to be accountable for my own work. I've worked hard in my time at Podium and I've been rewarded for that sacrifice. If the equity ends up being worthwhile it will be by far my most rewarding job.

Cons

The only downsides is that at times I've had to work a lot of hours. Also, there has been a lot of big strategic shifts in the business that can be hard to keep up with in G&A but a lot of those shifts seem to have stabilized and we are focusing more on execution.
