Pros

The pay can be amazing.

Cons

Podium struggles to maintain talent. The current team leads beside a few are closers, not managers. There is such a disconnect between departments and they continually make terrible changes. Leaders care about numbers more than they value employees and are having such a small percentage of their employees carry the entire company. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why they have a such high turnover and a toxic work environment yet they still can't figure it out. It is Sad because I love Podium and have been all in but while they have tried to fix an obvious issue and problem which relatively was a simple fix they let their competitors become better than them in the last year. The seniors who they have fed for the last two years who are pulling the company are not happy and as soon as they lose any resources they will leave and Podium will keep digging itself deeper in a hole.

Pros

I cannot think of a single pro to working at Podium. The company's poor leadership and disregard for employee well-being make it a challenging and unpleasant place to work.

Cons

I would strongly advise against working at Podium. My time at the company was marked by poor leadership, lack of transparency, and an overall disregard for employee well-being. The recent layoff of 70% of the Australian team was a prime example of the company's callousness and lack of empathy. The way the layoffs were handled was beyond unacceptable. Podium dehumanised us by sending a pre-recorded YouTube link to announce the news, without giving any prior warning or opportunity for discussion. This left us feeling shocked, disrespected, and completely disposable. The CEO's claim that they tried to make it "humane" was insulting and false. It was clear that the company's leadership was disconnected from the reality of our daily work and our contributions to the company. There was no transparency around decision-making, which made it impossible for us to understand the reasoning behind the layoffs. There were also very few opportunities for growth or career development, which made it hard to feel invested in the company's success. To make matters worse, the company demanded that we work even harder after the layoff, despite the fact that morale was at an all-time low. They expected us to continue meeting the same productivity levels, even though we were still reeling from the shock of losing so many of our colleagues. This demonstrated a complete lack of empathy and understanding for the emotional toll that the layoffs had taken on us. It was clear that the company's focus was solely on the bottom line, and not on the well-being of its employees In short, Podium is a poorly run company that doesn't value its employees. If you're looking for a workplace that treats you with respect and empathy, look elsewhere.

Pros

Cool Building, Free Drinks and Coffee, Remote Options.

Cons

Company is completely lost. Management doesn't know what they are doing. None of the systems work and everything feels like a complete mess. Management is way under qualified for their positions, and have no experience in running a company. Just a bunch of BYU Bro's trying to do the cool tech thing in Utah. No diversity. Micro managing. They will just do whatever every other tech company is doing and follow suit. They just preach false positivity all day, and never share anything that is happening under the surface. This month is saving churn, next month will be something else. No matter how hard you work, your reviews don't result in anything when it comes to compensation. The only way you can get anything in the company is if you are part of the "Bro's" club. Just don't work here... I promise, its' not worth it.
